About the role
The Freshworks Marketplace contains over 1,000 apps that enable our customers to connect their Freshworks product with the other SaaS applications that they use. Apps are also used to customize Freshworks products and automate routine tasks. The Marketplace team is responsible for building some of the key apps that our customers use and engaging with developers to make them successful.
As Director PM, you will help shape the future of developer & partner engagement at Freshworks. You will understand customer problems, the integration landscape, and Freshworks’ goals and combine this knowledge to develop a compelling vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will work with a cross functional team and our strategic partners to deliver compelling integrations that are valued by existing customers as well as attract new customers to Freshworks.
Develop a compelling vision for the Freshworks developer platform initiative and articulate it to all stakeholders both internal and external.
Gain a deep understanding of customer problems, identify product gaps, and generate new ideas. Develop a strong developer empathy and motivate the Marketplace team to deliver a compelling toolkit for developers.
Evangelize the Freshworks platform to developers, strategic partners, and mid-market customers to facilitate building, managing, and offering a compelling portfolio of integrations.
Understand the competitive landscape, and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
Identify key metrics that matter - experience and performance (non functional) - and monitor them closely.
Explore new initiatives for low-code / no-code development to simplify and automate the development of business-critical workflows.
Be a force multiplier within the Freshworks Platform teams by motivating team members as well as finding ways to drive efficiency within platform services
10-15 years of experience as a developer and/or technical product manager in SaaS / PaaS companies
A computer science degree or prior experience as a software engineer; MBA highly desired
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to quickly synthesize technical challenges and recommend solutions that are architecturally sound and compelling from an experience standpoint
Data driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias towards experimentation and action
High level of end-to-end ownership and attention to detail; able to run autonomously and bring clarity to ambiguous problems
